Almeria v Barcelona

The first leg was 5-0 to Barcelona, and the previous time Barcelona went to Almeria in the league it finished 8-0. Barcelona will be 100% going through to the final tonight, as they are 1/500 to qualify, so I’d recommend putting £1,000,000 if you have that much. Barcelona won the quarter final first leg 5-0 before losing the second one 3-1, so it may happen again here, if Pep Guardiola puts out a weakened team. An Almeria win is 5/1 and perhaps a possibility if they are up for the match. Barcelona are only 2/5 to win tonight, so it is expected for them to put out a weakened team.  Lionel Messi is 9/4 to score first, however he may not even be picked to play, so I’d go for Ulloa of Almeria, and at the price of 8/1 you will win more money. Regardless of the team they put out, I still think Barcelona will win, as they have scored 13 goals against Almeria this season, without conceding any.

My recommendation; Almeria 1-3 Barcelona (9/1)

Real Madrid v Sevilla

For the neutral this tie is much more in the balance although Real Madrid should be strong favourites to go through. Real Madrid are 1/3 to win on the night, as Jose Mourinho has won every home game in charge of Real Madrid, and I can’t see it stopping here. They were desperately disappointing in the match against Osasuna losing 1-0, and will want to bounce back and secure their place in the El Classico final. Sevilla need to win on the night, and the odds of that are 8/1 so they are big underdogs in this fixture, although they have quality in their team and you wouldn’t want to rule it out. Mourinho will play a strong team, so I expect Ronaldo or Benzema to score first at 9/4 and 10/3 respectively. Adebayor may score his first goal for Real Madrid tonight, and he is 4/1 to score first, so I would give that some consideration too. Real Madrid are usually faultless at home, and I cannot see them slipping up at this stage. All the neutral fans will want a Barcelona and Real Madrid final, and every fan will be expecting it to be a classic. Real Madrid will win on the night, but it will be close, and Sevilla will want to stay in the game as long as possible.

My recommendation; Real Madrid 1-0 Sevilla (13/2)
