When Kenny Daglish was in charge of Liverpool last time, Blackpool were in the fourth tier of English football. Now, both sides are level on 25 points sitting in the middle of the table. Blackpool defeated Liverpool earlier on in the new season, and the new rejuvenated Liverpool side will want revenge for that defeat. A win for either side will move them up 3 places in the league, as this is a game in hand, after the snowy conditions called it off on Boxing Day.
Blackpool are a staggering 3/1 to win this fixture, despite them being in the same position as Liverpool. Blackpool perhaps have been a better side away from home this season instead playing in front of their fans. Liverpool are 10/11 to win this match, but I suggest it will be harder than the odds suggest. Liverpool are missing Steven Gerrard, and usually don’t have a good record without it. I’d recommend a draw in this fixture, which is 12/5.
1st Goal Scorer
Fernando Torres is 7/2 to score fist, however, his goal scoring record away from home is poor this season, and I wouldn’t bet on them odds. Anyway could score first in this game, so put money on someone who’s odds are bigger than 10/1. I would go for Glen Johnson at 22/1.
This game is incredibly hard to predict. Either team could win it, and there could be 1 or 2 goals in it, or even 5,6 or 7. I am going to go for a 3-2 win for the away side, which for me is good odds, at 25/1. Sometimes when you expect goals in a match, it ends up being an anti-climax, and therefore it could be 0-0. Its 11/1 for that to happen, and may be worth a punt too.
